Class Assemblies

3C - 'The Chocolate Room' - Miss Cain's class explores the wonderful world of chocolate.
3M - 'Eddie Saves the World' - Pupils in Miss Mawdsley's class look at the effects of climate change, and encourage us all to play our part.
3S - 'The Return of Mr Disney' - Mr Shannon's class travels to a Disney World of the future.
4H - 'A Good Night's Sleep' - Mrs Hill's class presents an assembly full of bedtime stories, lullabies and counting sheep... Zzzzzzzz!
4S - 'Chinese New Year' - Children in Mrs Schwartz's class explore some of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations.
4W - 'Get Carried Away With Books' - Mr Wood's class celebrates World Book Day.
5L - 'Harvest' - Pupils in Mrs Lambrianides's class lead our annual Harvest celebrations with a retelling of the story of 'The Little Red Hen'.
5M - 'Roald Dahl at 100' - Miss Morgan's class celebrates the 100th anniversary year of author, Roald Dahl.
5P - 'Star Tours' - Mr Parry's class takes us on a tour of a galaxy not so far, far away.

Themed Days

Victorian Day - Pupils in Year 6 explore the life of a 10-year-old during Victorian times.
Egyptian Day - Year 3 children enjoy a day of Ancient Egyptian-themed activities.
World Book Day - Children and staff dress as favourite characters to celebrate World Book Day.
Tudor Day - Year 5 pupils learn about the life and times of King Henry VIII.

Theatres and Presentations

Barn Owls - Pupils in Year 3 meet some real Barn Owl's as part of their study of the book, 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' by Jill Tomlinson.
The Little Prince - Manactco perfoms this classic French tale to celebrate World Book Day.

Performances

The Stars Come Out For Christmas - Members of our Lower Junior Drama Club give three performances of their Christmas production for families, friends and local senior citizens.
Year 6 Leavers' Celebration - Our Year 6 pupils give two performances of their hilarious show - 'Seas' the Day - for their school friends and families.

Educational Visits

Quarry Bank Mill - Year 6 pupils learn what life was like for child apprentices at a cotton mill.
Tudor Morning at MTGS - Children in Year 5 visit Merchant Taylors' Girls School, part of which was built in the Tudor period.
Ambleside - Pupils in Year 6 enjoyed a range of outdoor activities during their 5-day residential visit to the Lake District.

Other Events

Christmas Parties - Pupils celebrate Christmas with music, fun and games at their parties.
Family Maths Challenge - Children and adults work together to solve a variety of mathematical puzzles, brainteasers and activities.
Sports Afternoons - Teams of children participate in a range of sporting and athletic activities during the Lower Junior and Upper Junior Sports Afternoons.
Mr Naylor's Retirement Street Party - The whole school celebrates Mr Naylor's retirement with a street party in the playground.
