Class Assemblies

3C - 'Ancient Egypt' - Children in Miss Cain's class share some of the exciting things they have been learning in their History lessons.
3D - 'Teeth and Healthy Eating' - The children in Mrs Dower's class share some top tips for looking after your teeth and eating healthily.
3S - 'Savage Stoneage' - Mr Shannon's class takes us back to prehistoric times to share what they have learned during their History lessons about the Stone Age..
4M - 'Harvest' - Miss Mawdsley's class leads our annual Harvest celebration with a retelling of the tale of 'The King and the Seed'.
4S - 'Once Upon a Time...' - Children in Mrs Schwartz's class share some of their favourite stories.
4W - 'Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth II' - Mr Wood's class presents a royal variety show fit for a queen.
5L - 'Christmas' - Pupils in Mrs Lambrianides's class share some of their favourite Christmas traditions.
5M - 'War!' - Children in Miss Morgan's class explore some of the 20th century's major conflicts.
5P - 'The Terrific Tudors' - From Henry VII to Elizabeth I, the children in Mr Parry's class teach us all about the Kings and Queens of the House of Tudor.

Performances

Santa's on Strike - Our Lower Junior Drama Club performs for parents, friends and members of the local community.
Carol Singing - Members of our school choir perform a selection of seasonal songs in aid of Thornton Jospice.
Performance Poetry - Children from each class share some of their favourite poems in celebration of World Book Day.
Spring Concert - Members of our extra-curricular music groups put on a fabulous show for their families.
Charity Concert - Forefield pupils join other young musicians to perform at Stamps in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Leavers' Celebration - Pupils in Year 6 bid us farewell with a fantastic behind-the-scenes look at the film industry, in 'A Reel-y Good Night at the Movies'.

Themed Days

Victorian Day - Staff and pupils from Year 6 spend a day living and working as Victorians.
Tudor Day - Year 5 pupils enjoy an interactive workshop based on the life of Henry VIII and try their hand at a selection of Tudor-themed crafts.
Ancient Egypt Day - Children in Year 3 learn about the Land of the Pharoahs during this wonderful interactive workshop.
Americas Day - Pupils in Year 5 explore the countries that make up The Americas.

Educational Visits

Quarry Bank Mill - Year 6 pupils visit the UK's most well-preserved cotton mill to learn what life was like for children in the Victorian era.
Sefton Coast - Children in Year 3 explore Formby's coastline and visit Southport Eco Centre.
Ambleside - Year 6 children enjoy a residential educational visit to the Lake District.

Other Events

Christmas Parties - Pupils celebrate Christmas with music, fun and games at their parties.
Science Evening - Parents and children work together on an array of scientific challenges.
Sports Afternoons - Teams of children participate in a range of sporting and athletic activities during the Lower Junior and Upper Junior Sports Afternoons.
