Music has always been very important to us at Forefield. This year we have enrolled on a scheme that will give every child in Year 4 the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument. Miss Morgan's class were the first to benefit from Sefton Music Service's Wider Opportunities initiative (WOPPS) and the results were simply astonishing. In just two months, the children gained the skill and confidence to perform a 20 minute showcase on their brass and woodwind instruments. With the help of some of our other music groups, this turned into almost an hour long performance.

We are truly grateful to Mr Lennie and Sefton Music Service for providing this wonderful opportunity for our pupils. We thank especially Mrs Fogg and Mrs Davies who visit Forefield each week to lead our WOPPS lessons so enthusiastically.
