Class Assemblies

5H - 'Reading is Dreaming with your Eyes Open' - Children in Mrs Harding's class tell us about their favourite books and authors.
3M - 'Heroes' - Pupils in Miss Mawdsley's class encourage us to look for the hero inside all of us.
5M - 'Christmas' - Mrs Brook's class celebrates the festive season with a heavenly host of Christmas tales and traditions.
4S - 'World Book Day' - To celebrate World Book Day, children in Mrs Schwartz's class share some of their favourite books.
3P - 'The Roman Beanfeast' - Miss Smith's class explores the subject of bullying, including a performance of 'The Roman Beanfeast' by Gillian Cross.

Theatres and Presentations

Barn Owls - Pupils in Year 3 meet some real Barn Owl's as part of their study of the book, 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' by Jill Tomlinson.
Sam Gayton - The author of 'The Snow Merchant' and 'The Last Zoo' fuels the children's imagination during his interactive presentation.

Themed Days

World Book Day - To celebrate World Book Day 2019, staff and pupils dress as book characters.
Times Tables Rock Stars Launch Day - Staff and pupils dig out their denims to celebrate the launch of our new maths initiative.
Ancient Egypt Day - Year 3 pupils enjoy a day of Ancient Egyptian-themed activities as part of their History topic.
Americas Day - Children in Year 5 celebrate the end of their Geography topic on 'The Americas'.

Educational Visits

Chester - Year 4 pupils visit the Grosvenor Museum as part of their History topic, 'The Romans'.
Sefton Coast and Eco Centre - Year 3 classes visit Formby and the Southport Eco Centre as part of their Geography study of the Sefton Coast.
Tudor Morning at MTGS - Pupils in Year 5 visit Merchant Taylors' Girls School to learn about its Tudor History.
Ambleside - Year 6 pupils enjoy a 5-day residential visit to the Lake District.

Other Events

Arts Week - This year's Arts Week theme is 'Arts Around the World'.
Sports Afternoons - Teams of children, representing different countries, compete in a range of sporting activities at our Lower Junior and Upper Junior events.
Leavers' Celebration - Our Year 6 pupils leave us with a performance to remember.
