Theme Days
'King Henry VIII' returns to Forefield Junior School to lead a day of Tudor-based learning activities. This time, he is accompanied by one of his wives.
Indian Dance Day
Year 4 children learn to dance - Bollywood style!
Roman Day
The children of Year 3 dress in some fantastic costumes and enjoy a day of Roman themed activities.
Red Nose Day
Children and staff wear something red to raise money for Comic Relief and the British Red Cross.
Victorian Day
The children of Year 6 learn about living in Victorian times.
Vikingasaga
'Snorri' returns to teach the children of Year 3 about life as a Viking.
Egyptian Day
Year 4 children enjoy a day of activities based on the History topic of Ancient Egypt, with the opportunity to handle artefacts made around 3000 years ago!
 
Educational Visits
Children of Year 3 take a tour of the Sefton Coast.
Year 5 classes visit the famous Tudor House as part of their History topic.
 
Sporting Events
Merseyside Primary Games
Following their success at the Crosby and District Swimming Gala, the Forefield Juniors Team were selected to represent Sefton at the prestigious Merseyside Primary Games.
Year 4 children enjoy fun and games with the students of Chesterfield High.
Sports Afternoons
Two afternoons full of fitness and fun for our Upper and Lower Juniors as the children demonstrate the skills they have learned in PE and Games lessons.
 
Theatre Groups & Presentations
M & M Productions presents an exciting stage version of the classic tale set in Victorian times.
Daylight Theatre returns with a spooky tale of mystery.
Visitors from Liverpool Football Club help us to understand some important messages for life.
World Champion and Olympic gymnast, Beth Tweddle, visits Forefield Junior School with an inspirational presentation.
Regular visitors to Forefield, The Coverdale Puppets, return with another Christmas show.
The Wind In The Willows
Funhouse Theatre presents the classic tale from the riverbank.
6Pac
Fantastic Jazz band, 6Pac, perform for the whole school then lead a workshop for our young musicians.
Pinocchio
Regular visitors from M&M Productions return to Forefield with a stage production of this much loved tale.
 
Other Activities
Follow That Star!
Members of the Forefield Junior School Choir tell the story of the Nativity through a mixture of narration and song.
A Dancing Christmas Party
The Year 3 & 4 Drama Club present a heart-warming Christmas tale.
Christmas Parties
Music and dancing in the school hall along with food and fun in the classroom.
Forefield's Got Talent!
Heat winners from each class take part in the Grand Final on Red Nose Day.
Our talented musicians perform two concerts - an evening show for parents and a daytime performance in front of the whole school.
Children from Forefield Junior School join other local young musicians for a special charity concert in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Y6 Leavers Celebration
The children of Year 6 entertain us with an hilarious spoof of the hit TV show 'The Apprentice'.
