Speed Awareness

Following a Road Safety competition, pupils in Year 6 spent an afternoon with Merseyside Police on Brownmoor Lane. The children were shown how a handheld speed gun works and took turns using the device to measure the speed of oncoming vehicles. Drivers found to be travelling over the speed limit were pulled over, and children were able to share their speed awareness message with them.
