'Come and Play' at Bridgewater Hall
With the Hallé Orchestra
The Hallé Orchestra

Music plays a significant role in education at Forefield. In Year 4, every child is taught to play a musical instrument through the Whole Class Ensemble Teaching programme, and they are encouraged to continue with extra-curricular lessons in Years 5 and 6. As a consequence, we were priviledged to take around 130 pupils to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall for a 'Come and Play' event. As well as having the opportunity to watch and listen to the world-famous Hallé Orchestra, the children were able to play and sing along with a number of pieces that they had been practising.
